Our Story

Ours is a story that started long before the first date, back in 2016, when we were just two
teenagers who shared an easy, effortless friendship. From the very beginning, there was
something special between us. Donavan likes to say he knew Ashley was the one the
moment she showed up to a holiday trip at the Dam barefoot, the very holiday where the
sparks started flying.

We officially started dating in 2017 on Friday the 13th – yes, really! It wasn’t a unlucky day for
us, but rather the start of something magical. Eight years later, here we are, proving that love
doesn’t follow superstition, but something much stronger.
In 2024, Donavan officially popped the question during a family trip, in the most spontaneous
and “so-Donavan”; way and it was perfect. Yes, after 8 years, he finally did it and we couldn’t
be happier to be here today able to say we are about to marry the love of our lives.

Over the past 8 years, we have been through the highs and the lows that has shaped us as
individuals and as a couple. We have learned, grown, and supported each other through every
twist and turn life threw our way making our bond even stronger.
From late-night drives and spontaneous adventures to our shared love of sport and endless
weekends at the dam, our relationship has been built on adventure, joy, and countless
unforgettable memories. We’ve created a love that feels like home where our hearts found
their favourite place to be.
Now, we’re stepping into the next chapter of our journey, marriage, and we couldn’t be more
excited to celebrate it with the people who have been part of our story all along. Thank you
for being here with us, and we can’t wait to say “I do” surrounded by so much love.
